Early Life and Education of Charlotte Flair
Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr was born on April 5, 1986, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to wrestling icon Ric Flair and his then-wife, Elizabeth Harrell. Growing up as the daughter of “The Nature Boy” meant that wrestling was a constant presence in her life, though she did not initially aspire to follow in his footsteps. She has an older half-sister, Megan, and an older half-brother, David, who also had a stint in professional wrestling. Tragically, her younger brother, Reid, passed away in 2013.
Flair was a gifted athlete from a young age, excelling in various sports. At Providence High School, she was a standout volleyball player, winning two NCHSAA 4A state championships and being named team captain and player of the year in her senior year (2004–2005).
